Genotype x Environment interaction

Phenomenon that different environments result in different rankings of the best cultivar. For example, at location A cultivar 1 succeeds all others and at location B cultivar 4 performs as the best. To gain insight into genotype x environment interaction, fieldtrials are often performed at multiple locations (regions, countries or continents).
