Overview

Flowers don’t look like ‘Magnolia’; used to belong to the separate genus Michelia. Small flowers. Evergreen small shrub. Small shiny leaves (5 cm). Small white flowers with divine fragrance. Seedlings of the species vary in leaf size and leaf shape. Desires sheltered location.

wintergroen, kleine bloemen, lijkt niet op een magnolia (behoorde vroeger tot het geslacht Michelia), ongelooflijk mooi maar in Nederland op een voor vorst beschutte plaats planten. kleinblijvende struik, klein (5 cm) glimmend groen blad, kleine witte bloemen met heerlijke geur, binnen species komt variatie voor in bladgrootte en vorm.
