Overview

Polyploid cultivar, therefore more resistant to sun, heat and drought than M. sieboldii. Very large flowers (twice the size of the species) and leaves. Thick, dark green leaves. Profusely flowering in late May to early June. White flowers with contrasting red stamens. Fertile flowers resulting in many seed pods in autumn. After 7 years both height and width ca. 300 cm.
