Magnolia x loebnerii ‘Merrill’
Overview
The largest flowering Magnolia x loebneri. Usually a multi-stemmed tree with a wide ovate crown. Developed by the Arnold Arboretum (United States) in 1939. Early flowering (mid-April) with white flowers. Dark green leaves with yellow autumn colour. Tree flowers at relatively young age. Prefers acidic soils.
