A plant’s performance is the visible result of an entire system—roots, water, nutrition, light, temperature, genetics, growing medium and human decisions.
Understanding the whole plant
When growth stalls or quality declines, treating the most obvious symptom rarely solves the real problem. Yellow leaves can point to nutrition, but also to damaged roots, unsuitable pH, poor water quality or an imbalance between light and temperature. The first task is therefore observation: what changed, when did it change, and which parts of the growing system are connected?
Ed van Paassen combines plant physiology with practical cultivation experience. This makes it possible to move from symptoms to causes and from causes to workable improvements. The aim is not simply to rescue one crop, but to understand why the problem developed and reduce the chance that it returns.
From genetics to growing conditions
